Today i gave my first tour. it was for a green ambassadors position at my school. i showed too potential donors around environmental charter high school. to be honest i was extremely nervous. however, the guys from heal the bay i was presenting to were very relaxed and happy-go-lucky. i was relieved they were so nice. And i told them i even volunteered to clean up Lagoona Beach on a Heal the Bay Beach Clean Up.
That brings us to today's topic, pollution. As a student whom goes to an environmental school i do care about the environment and all that it has to offer but it seems as if other people are starting to care less and less. I see wrappers on the floor and plastic in the compost bin. A little fact about plastic is that it never biodegrades. so, while it brakes into tiny pieces it never leaves earth. Having people claim they care but then twenty minutes later throw a wrapper on the floor is terrible. Some people need to have a little consideration for the world. "There is no Planet B".
So i have a preposition. i propose that we all go out there and do one thing to help make the world beautiful. Even if its from cleaning up a beach to taking shorter showers to conserve water. just do something to help the world and tell others to do so as well. Be the change you want to see. It all starts with you. Hopefully you encourage others to do their part as well. And so the world can get more beautiful and more magnificent, one person at a time. Are you that person?
